What Does It Take to be a "Noble Wife"?

“A wife of noble character who can find?” - Proverbs 31:10

Being a godly wife has to start with the focus on your relationship with the Lord.

If that is not your focus, then nothing after that will ever align with being a godly wife.

 Proverbs 31:10-12

A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

Her husband has full confidence in her

and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm all the days of her life.

That was just the beginning! I don’t know about you, but I would love to be a wife described like this. I want my husband to feel this way about me. More than that, I want God to be honored by how I treat my husband.

Write these verses on some sticky notes or flashcards and memorize them. When you are tempted to do it your way redirect to this.

This was a focus and commitment we started at the time of engagement. We both knew we wanted to have a better relationship with the Lord and raise a family for Him. We were on the same page, equally yoked.

Although this has not always been easy, it has always been the priority. Keeping in such order as God, spouse, children, then work of whatever nature. It has taken each precious year to grow spiritually and closer to the Lord and it will continue to take the rest of our years we have together, because we will never be done.

After 22 years, I can honestly say my husband treats me like a princess. I do believe he feels I am worth far more than rubies. He loves me. He desires to please me and moreover, he needs me (I am raising his 7 children for crying out loud.) Haha. Oh and I sure need him! I love him. I appreciate him. I respect him. And I desire to please him and “ bring him good not harm.”
